Description
The highest quality materials are used to produce individual suspension solutions that enable customers to adjust vehicle height according to their wishes and needs. Within the TÜV-tested adjustment parameters, this can be easily achieved using the purple-colored aluminum spring collars by adjusting the position of the yellow coated springs upwards or downwards via a specially designed exterior thread.
The stainless steel strut housings are employed, and are available in three different damping technologies. The complete systems including high-quality yellow springs, purple aluminum components and Elastomer bump stops with integrated dust protection system, provide a unique comprehensive solution for a personalized vehicle suspension system that meets all performance and quality demands.

The new Variant 3 is state-of-the-art technology for the skilled and experienced driver. The separate and independent compression and rebound damping options allow a truly individual driving set-up. These unique systems with the 3 individually adjustable components, allows for adjustment of the compression of the damper in the low-speed range, while the highspeed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been preset by our engineers.

With the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension “inox-line” we combine our leading racing technology with a significant increase of everyday suitability for numerous high-performance vehicles. This enables an independent adjustment of the rebound stage damping as well as low-speed and high-speed compression stage damping. KW supplies the Variant 4 with a vehicle-specific performance setting. With the adjustable dampers, drivers can – if necessary – quickly change to a comfort setting by using the integrated setting dials on the damper.
Street Comfort:
KW street comfort in stainless steel technology “inox-line” are developed especially for ambitious customers who demand comfort,safe driving quality but with discreet and individual lowering adjustment. The vehicle can be height adjusted from 5-45 mm on front and rear axle. All coilover kits are equipped with a shock absorber which can be adjusted in rebound damping for more comfort.
Clubsport:
Nürburgring Nordschleife is the most popular race track for using our KW Clubsport suspension kits. High performance sports cars,modified saloons as well as classical sport compact cars are tuned in weight, engine and wheels for their use on several race tracks.
These improvements are made for a better handling on track sport events, race taxi drives, visitor drives and equability tests particularly on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Due to these modifications of the car some parameters are changing. Therefore, the road setups are
no longer ideal for the performance of the car. For this use we offer special clubsport kits which have been adapted to the changed requirements by changing spring and shock setup as well as the installation of racing top mounts.

The KW competition 3-way racing coilovers provide 3 independent features of adjustment, low-speed rebound as well as high and low-speed compression adjustment. The unique valve technology of the 3-way damper system differs from the conventional mono-tube damper shim package valve technology. This design also provides a maintenance-friendly damper system.
Versatile in its design, the damper system performance remains consistent even through a high temperature environment, and has proven to be reliable. The Competition 3-way systems are designed on the mono-tube damper principle with an adjustable reservoir. Rebound adjustments are made through an adjustable needle on the pre-adjustable valves. Depending on the version (18 or 22 clicks), the compression level in the low-speed and high-speed range can be adjusted. The standard compression level is controlled by a pre-configurable blow-off valve. The 3-way Competition kits are constructed of high-strength aluminum. KW Height Adjustable Spring Kit
The springs with continuous lowering
The KW height adjustable spring kit is used for lowering of the vehicle in combination with the standard dampers. Unlike to conventional spring kits, a customized height adjustment is possible within the tested adjustment range. For this solution, vehicle-specific spring seats with adapted KW lowering springs and matching elastomers as well as dust protection systems are used. The standard damper system for example with electronic or hydraulic control, continues to remain active.
Setup – sporty harmonic spring rates
The used high-quality springs made of chrome-silicon steel for the KW height adjustable spring kits are adapted in their spring rate vehicle-specifically to the respective standard suspension damper and wheel loads. When developing the respective spring sets, we also take into account that the spring rates harmonize perfectly with the various damper characteristics of your adaptive standard suspension. So even with a KW HAS you can experience your car more directly and dynamically. The KW coilover springs are suitable for automobile drivers who want to decently lower their car while taking advantage of an individual adjustment range.
Continuous lowering
Similar to a coilover suspension, also the height-adjustable KW springs allow a continuous lowering within a decent range. This is not possible with conventional lowering springs. The dust protection elements and spring perches included in the delivery are always adjusted to the maximum possible lowering. KW DDC coilover kit "DDC ECU"
The KW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) coilover kit with ECU (Electronic Control Unit) was developed for individual lowering and installation of an electronic damping control system. The scope of delivery contains a KW inox-line coilover kit with electronically controlled dampers, a high-performance control unit, the car specific cable set with control switch and a detailed manual for an easy installation.
The KW DDC coilover kit has three car specific developed damper settings. By the push of a button the driver can choose between the Sport basic setup, a very Sporty and performance-oriented Sport + setup and the Comfort mode for un-even/poor road surfaces. The height adjustment of KW coilover kits also allow an individual lowering within the TÜV-tested adjustment range.
KW "DDC App" (only for DDC ECU)
Optional for KW DDC ECU solutions available damping control for iPhone, iPod or iPad. With the DDC app you can also save up to five own individual setups programmed by yourself, and share them with your friends via e-mail. A variable damper setting of 0% (maximum comfort) up to 100% (maximum Sport+), as well as the separate damper setting for front and rear axle is possible and will be transmitted via iPhone within milliseconds to the dampers. For the communication between iPhone and KW DDC control unit, a KW DDC W-LAN module is required.
KW HLS
KW Hydraulic Lift System – makes your super-sportscar suitable for daily use.
Because of their low center of gravity, many super cars have less ground clearance. In order to be able to drive over speed bumps or steep ramps in parking garages without any problems, we have developed the KW Hydraulic Lift System. At the touch of a button the HLS system lifts vehicles by up to 45 millimeters allowing obstacles to be negotiated without a problem. Compatible with our KW coilover suspension or with the original suspension depending on vehicle type and application.
KW HLS Lift kit – continuous lowering and more ground clearance at the push of a button
With the HLS Lift Kit, obstacles such as parking garages, garage entrances, speed bumps or rough roads are no problem even for lowered vehicles or vehicles with little ground clearance. The vehicle equipped with the lift kit can be lifted by up to 45 mm in order to drive over obstacles that would not be possible with the normal vehicle height. Depending on the vehicle type and model, the lift kit is available as a vehicle-specific solution or as an individual conversion kit.
The lift kit is available in two different versions:
- HLS 2, which is installed on the front axle
- HLS 4, which can also be installed on the rear axle if required, allowing the entire vehicle to be lifted.
The hydraulic cylinder unit is mounted on the coilover suspension between the spring plate and the spring. The advantage of a hydraulic system is that during driving no compression (movement) of the extended cylinder unit (no unwanted additional suspension) occurs.
